All raw materials we select are not only natural and harmless but also practice sustainable concepts throughout their entire life cycle from collection to degradation, making every purchase of your willow woven basket or rattan basket a friendly contribution to the planet.

From the perspective of raw material sustainability: The materials for our hand-woven baskets are all sourced from renewable resources — willow and rattan regenerate naturally every year without the need to cut down mature trees; cotton rope is made from organic cotton, grown without chemical pesticides; cattail grows in wetlands and recovers quickly after collection; wood uses certified forestry scraps to avoid resource waste. The collection of these materials fully follows ecological protection principles, does not damage natural habitats, and ensures the source sustainability of BasketGem eco-friendly hand-woven baskets.

From the perspective of material biodegradability: Unlike chemical materials such as plastic, the raw materials of BasketGem hand-woven baskets are all biodegradable — when the product reaches the end of its service life, it can be directly discarded in the natural environment and decompose into organic matter within a few months, returning to the soil without causing white pollution. Even for dyed custom hand-woven baskets, we use plant-based dyes that do not release harmful substances when decomposed.
