As a home furnishing chain brand that comprehensively meets the needs of various home scenarios, German Kaufland needs to customize three different sizes of round willow weaving storage baskets for home storage in the living room, bedroom and bathroom Spaces, and strictly comply with EU standards and be free of formaldehyde and odor. In addition, the client also requested customized designs such as printing the brand LOGO and presenting a simple Nordic style.

In terms of time and standard, the project request delivery 3000 baskets in 35 days, at the same time fully meet the EU REACH regulation, food contact safety certification, and environmental protection packing, each item in the test hard nuclear power of the supply chain.

Overcome the challenges of scale and quality with innovative technologies

Facing challenges such as the susceptibility to mold in the humid climate of Europe, the limited load-bearing capacity of traditional structures, and tight construction schedules, BasketGem adopts high-temperature steaming and double anti-moth treatment to strictly control the moisture content within 8%, ensuring that the products do not mold in a humid environment. Relying on over 70 experienced artisans, the team has employed an upgraded version of the encrypted cross weaving method, significantly enhancing the structural density. The project achieved remarkable results. The first batch of orders was delivered three days ahead of schedule within 32 days and successfully passed the third-party inspection and one-time inspection in Germany.

During 2025, Kaufland received a total of 8 repeat orders, with a total purchase volume of 30,000 items. Its products were highly popular in the German retail market. The customer highly praised this project, stating that the product quality far exceeded expectations, and the craftsmanship and performance in fulfilling the contract were perfect.

Meticulously crafted product details

According to the customized requirements of customers, we have designed three different sizes, perfectly adapting to various storage scenarios. Selected high-quality local willow twils, which have undergone pest and moth-proof treatment and bottom reinforcement, and are coated with food-grade water-based clear varnish on the surface, can be safely used for fruit and vegetable storage. They are packed in PE dust-proof bags combined with 5-layer corrugated cartons, fully meeting EU standards. Every detail demonstrates our pursuit of excellence.
